Gain hands-on experience helping Hawaii's marine protected species and our critically important ocean ecosystem. This internship offers opportunities in various HMAR programs such as Field Support & Outreach, Marine Debris & Marine Operations or Education & Engagement. Covering the islands of Oahu and Molokai, interns play a crucial role in building understanding, stewardship awareness, and support for Hawaii’s protected marine species and overall coastal ecosystem.
Who Can Apply: Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and a degreed or degree-seeking individual engaged in fields of study such as marine biology, ecology, ocean sciences or related fields. All internships are unpaid positions that do not include housing or living expenses. Internships require a minimum of 20 hours per week of work for at least 3 months, with access to a personal car or truck.
